Seeking Donations - Bandstand Roof Replacement

Seeking Donations – Bandstand Roof Replacement

The Hampton Falls Memorial Bandstand was built by group of passionate individuals in 1998 funded by local donations of cash, goods, and services.  The community of Hampton Falls got behind the bandstand in a tremendous way, as everyone saw the vision of a central gathering location in a beautiful park setting.  Once the bandstand was completed, it was proudly gifted to the Town.  But there’s a problem.

Keeping with tradition, the bandstand roof was built with cedar shakes; sadly, a drip edge was not part of the recommendation to handle New England’s harsh weather.  As a result, over time, the roof has eroded and deteriorated leaving the roof in danger of total failure.

The bandstand is heavily used in our community, including musicians, dancers, weddings, and crafters.  Redoing the roof before the harsh winter sets in would be a wonderful gift, in part, to adorn this year's Christmas tree.  You can join us.

The Hampton Falls Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking to raise $14,500 to replace the bandstand roof. You can help by donating to this community fundraiser which will help the bandstand after all these years of use.  Every donation will help us get the job done!

Please consider making a donation to Hampton Falls Parks and Recreation, Town of Hampton Falls, 1 Drinkwater Road, Hampton Falls, NH 03844 – with check memo notation of “Bandstand Roof Donation” by mailing or dropping your donation in a sealed envelope in the drop box at the Town Hall by October 7, 2020.

With Gratitude,

Hampton Falls Parks and Recreation Commission
